Pippa Middleton inspired Bridesmaids dress now on sale at Debenhams

It was the dress that made all heads turn at the royal wedding. And now Pippa Middleton’s iconic bridesmaids gown can be yours. A budget version for just 170 Pounds is now launched by Debenhams, which features many details from the original Alexander McQueen dress.

“We’ve taken the best of the dresses and added our designer twist,” says Russell Fish, Head of Occasionwear Design at Debenhams. The sweeping floor length gown features a cowl neck with side satin panels under the bust, short sleeves, a mock button fastening through the back.

Through the attention to detail, the Debenhams bridesmaids gown is a perfectly sophisticated redesign of Pippa’s own dress, which reportedly cost 20,000 Pounds.

Designers also created a version of Pippa’s emerald green evening gown as worn on the evening reception, which will be available this autumn for just 99 Pounds.

“Both men and women everywhere were instantly talking about Pippa, so naturally brides-to-be will want to emulate her classic look – both for themselves or their bridesmaids,” says Alain Mehada, Chief Personal Shopper at Debenhams’ Oxford Street store in London. “We have been inundated by customers asking if we have anything similar to the dresses worn by Kate, Pippa and the flower girls, but the ivory dress worn by Pippa is the most requested by far.”

For those who want to buy one of the royally bridesmaids gowns, Debenhams created a special ‘Lady-in-waiting-list’ where fans of the dress can reserve their very own version. To find out as soon as the dresses are available in your size, send your details to ladyinwaitinglist@debenhams.com.
